Activision Blizzard and Chinese partner NetEase have failed to come to an agreement during contract negotiations to continue hosting the studios services in China. It seems that game services including the Diablo franchise, Overwatch, and other live services are going to come to a halt in the coming days. Since the podcast is has since been clarified that World of Warcraft: Dragonflght will still launch in China on its planned release date, but the future of the MMO in China is uncertain in the following months. Head of Microsoft’s gaming division, Phil Spencer, has announced their streaming-only box has been put on hold as the company finds a way to make the device cheaper to manufacturer, and more affordable for it’s release.
